February is never easy in Wisconsin, but Antigo's February of 2019 was exceptionally brutal. To begin with the first half of the month produced near record snowfalls. Then the Polar vortex visited Antigo twice. But it was just a preview of what was yet to come. A mid-month blizzard dropped an additional 17" of snow on a community already reeling from storm after storm . . . To make matters worse it snowed every other day for almost two weeks following the blizzard. If you parked your car at the Langlade County Historical Museum to visit the AVA gallery in late February 2019, this is what you saw.
